When is the best time to deal with the electrical installation for a new build?
Ideally as early as possible, once the layout of the home and the intended use of each room are clear. The earlier sockets, lighting, the consumer unit and preparation for future technologies are thought through, the fewer compromises and redesigns you will face later.
Do you only handle family homes, or apartments as well?
This page is focused mainly on new-build family homes. We also work on apartments and renovations, but with a new-build home we approach the electrical installation as one complete system — from the consumer unit and outdoor feeds to preparation for future technologies.
Can you also help with the placement of sockets, switches and lighting?
Yes. In fact, that is one of the most important parts of the whole project. Most homeowners know roughly what they want, but they do not always see how the house will work in everyday use. We help place sockets, lighting and controls so the home feels practical and comfortable, without extension leads or workarounds later.
Can you also prepare the house for cameras, an alarm system or home Wi-Fi?
Yes. During the build, it makes sense to think ahead about data cabling, Wi-Fi points, preparation for cameras, an alarm system, a video intercom or the entrance gate. When this is planned early, the installation of additional systems later is faster, cleaner and more cost-effective.
What affects the price of a new-build electrical installation?
Mainly the size of the house, the number of circuits, the requirements for the consumer unit, the number of lighting and socket points, outdoor areas and preparation for future technologies. We do not sell 'metres of cable' — we deliver a complete, functional system. That is why a short consultation or site review makes sense.
Is the initial inspection included?
We carry out the electrical installation so it is properly prepared for the initial electrical inspection and final handover. For a new build, the initial inspection is an important step before occupancy approval and commissioning.
Does it make sense to leave spare capacity in the consumer unit and wiring?
Absolutely. For a new build, it is one of the smartest investments you can make. Homes are often expanded later with additional circuits, outdoor features, a camera system, a heat pump or other technologies. Reserve capacity in the design saves both money and stress in the future.
Do you also install outdoor feeds for a garage, pergola or garden?
Yes. We also think about the outside of the home — garage, garden shed, gate, terrace, pergola, outdoor sockets and outdoor lighting. When this is done during construction, it is far simpler than adding it later.
How does the cooperation work from the first enquiry?
First, we go through the basic brief, the layout of the home and your priorities. Then we propose a solution, review the important areas, agree on the scope and, after completion, hand everything over clearly and in a way that is easy to follow.
Which areas do you cover for new-build electrical installations?
Primarily Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek, Havířov and the wider Moravian-Silesian Region. Other locations can be arranged depending on the size and scope of the project.
